See it in a new light

Bangkok by Night

What better way to see Bangkok at night than by taking an evening bike ride through the city.
We've carefully planned this tour for you to experience the city in a safe and interesting way. We visit some famous temples where the true beauty and serenity of it is highlighted. You can leisurely walk around the temple compounds without the intrusion of masses of tourists. At night, the temples are bathed in lights that truely bring out it's mystique, mystery and magnificence.
But this tour is not only about temples. As with all our tours, we ride through the backstreets and stick close to the local communities to see the Thai people's night time activities. In contrast to the tranquil temples, we also visit the most famous local night market in Bangkok. A flower market which hails from the 1700's. This market is open 24 hours but tends to be sleepy during the day, suddenly coming alive late in the evening, with things at their most chaotic around 3am (but we won't stay that late). The market is a mass of colour, fragrances, sounds and Thai people.
This tour will really open your eyes to nightlife in Bangkok and could quite easily be the highight of your stay in the Kingdom.Night bike ride

Itinerary

We meet at 6.00p.m. at Just Nok New Office, for a quick bike fitting and briefing before heading out for an evening of intrigue and amazement.
We start with a leisurely ride along the Chao Phraya river before taking the ferry over to "Old Bangkok". Once on the other side, we wind our way through the communities stopping at some historical landmarks before arriving at a local temple which is famous for winning a UNESCO conservation award. We'll spend some time here to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings before continuing along the river to see other historical landmarks.
We use the memorial bridge to come back to Rattanakosin island where the next stop will be the very busy flower market. Here we'll spend some time wandering between the vendors and also have a chance to sample some typical Thai snacks.
On the way back, we'll pass the beautiful Grand Palace, Royal plowing field and the iconic and famous Democracy monument. Depending on time and weather conditions, we might also be able to squeeze in a stop at the very impressive Giant Swing or the very colourful Tha Maharaj pier for some creative photo opportunities.
